Abstract

ABSTRACT

The aim of this research is to determine students' self-confidence in learning physical education and sports based on research literature that has been published in several indexed research journals. Through physical education and sports, every student gets the opportunity to develop cognitively, affectively, psychomotorically, and socially. Physical education and sports are an inseparable part of the overall education system because they contribute to the physical, mental, social, emotional, and psychological development of each student so that they have the opportunity to become fully human. Self-confidence is a component that is included in psychology. The method used in this research is Systematic Literature Review (SLR), namely by collecting relevant research results from the Google Scholar and Taylor and Francis databases. The research results are presented entirely and in accordance with the scope of the research. 11 relevant articles were found from 30 related articles to serve as a basis for further study. Based on the results of a systematic study, it can be concluded that through physical education and sports learning, each student can increase their self-confidence through the process of explaining self-confidence, carrying out various movement patterns, and discussions that are designed in a structured and planned way during physical education and sports learning. When learning physical education and sports, each student will not be separated from the process of interaction with other people and the surrounding environment. In addition to physical education and sports being able to develop each student's self-confidence through structured and planned learning, the high self-confidence of each student can influence the mastery of physical education and sports learning outcomes, both physically, mentally, and socially so that they have the opportunity to become students who stand out more in learning physical education and sports. The level of self-confidence will be more optimal when taking on challenges in completing a task in physical education and sports learning. Through learning physical education and sports, every student has the opportunity to express his confidence, and it will be better if it is designed in such a way. Self-confidence is also a psychological component that significantly supports competitive sports performance.
