Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the contribution between arm muscle power and flying shoot ability in handball games among Health and Recreation Physical Education students class of 2021. The population in this study is all Health and Recreation Physical Education students class of 2021, totaling 175 people with the number being male. 126 people and 49 daughters. The sampling technique was carried out using a purposive random sampling technique, namely based on consideration of the gender of 32 men. Then 32 people were used as samples in this research. The instruments used are arm muscle power tests using a medicine ball and flying shoot ability. Research data was analyzed using product moment correlation statistical techniques. The results obtained from hypothesis testing show that arm muscle power contributes to flying shoot ability, where the correlation coefficient (rxy) = 0.71 > rtab ɑ (0.05:32 = 0.349). Based on data analysis, in this study it can be concluded that there is a significant contribution between arm muscle power and flying shoot ability in handball games among Physical Education Health and Recreation students class of 2021.
